Latest News Tricentennial Celebrations in Brailes A Mass of Thanksgiving was held at St Peter and St Paul Chapel on Saturday 27 June to mark the 300th anniversary of its opening. Archbishop Bernard Longley celebrated the Mass, which was followed by a parish party. St Peter and St Paul Chapel opened in 1726 and is in the upper storey of a medieval malt barn attached to the Old Rectory Farm. It is one of the oldest post-Reformation public Catholic churches in England. The chapel and presbytery are Grade II* listed. As part of the celebrations the parish launched a new book entitled "The Catholic Chapel of St Peter & St Paul Lower Brailes 1726-2026".
