Latest News Corpus Christi in Kidderminster By Miriam Cunliffe On Sunday 7 June at St Ambrose Catholic Church in Kidderminster, we had Mass and Benediction for Corpus Christi, The Solemnity of The Body & Blood of Christ. It was a lovely occasion made more special by the inclusion of some of the children who received their first Holy Communion the day before, Saturday 6 June. We also had an extra Deacon, Revd Timothy Anthony of Our Lady of Lourdes, Yardley Wood, who talked about the work of Aid to the Church in Need (ACN). The Mass began in church and we processed out of the church onto Birmingham Road, before turning onto Leswell Street and finishing on St Ambrose Primary School playground. Revd Deacon Charles Duncombe then held up the Blessed Sacrament for Benediction. We were blessed with good weather once again for a procession, as we did with our May Procession, on Sunday 17 May, when a much valued member of the parish and Union of Catholic Mothers member Joan Knowles crowned the statue of Our Lady. The procession followed the same route as Corpus Christi procession but ended in the rectory garden instead of the school playground. St Ambrose, Kidderminster Manage Cookie Preferences
