We ask for your prayers for the repose of the soul of Fr Paul Chavasse, STL (CongOrat) who died on Thursday 14 September, 2023, fortified by the rites of Holy Mother Church.

Fr Paul’s body will be received into the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Swynnerton, Staffordshire, on Tuesday 17 October at 5pm, followed by the celebration of Holy Mass.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12noon on Wednesday 18 October, at which Bishop David Evans will preside.

A Memorial Mass for Fr Paul will be celebrated at the Birmingham Oratory at a later date, to be arranged.

We pray for Fr Paul’s family, friends, his former parishioners and all who mourn him. May he Rest in Peace.
