Please pray for the repose of the soul of Br Ambrose May, OFM Cap who passed away peacefully in the presence of his brothers at our friary at Greyfriars, Iffley Road, Oxford on Sunday 12 September.

Br Ambrose was born in the parish of St Edmund & St Frideswide, Oxford in 1933. He entered the novitiate with the Capuchins in January 1953, and was ordained to the priesthood on the 29 June 1961. He spent many years as parish priest in various locations, and returned to Greyfriars as parish priest in 2002. He remained in our friary at Oxford since that time.

We pray for Br Ambrose’s family, his community, friends and all parishioners, along with all those who mourn him. May he rest in peace.

Monday, 27^th September at 10:00am

The body will then be transferred to Pantasaph Friary, North Wales

on Tuesday 28^th September at 10:00am, followed by the burial
