The Chaldean Catholic Community in the Archdiocese have celebrated their Christmas Mass.

Mgr Daniel McHugh, Ethnic Chaplaincy Co-ordinator for the Archdiocese, joined the Mass, which was celebrated by temporary Chaplain Father Andrewas, from Michigan, USA, on Sunday 22 December.

The Chaldean Catholic Community in the Archdiocese are mainly from Iraq.

This is one of the oldest Catholic communities claiming its origins are back in the time of St Thomas the Apostle.

As part of the event Mgr McHugh interviewed Sub Deacon, Dr Subhi Zora, with a view to recording information about the Chaldean Rite, and customs of the Chaldean church. 

He also interviewed Father Aldrewas about the Church and the Faith, and its young people.
