Anawim – Birmingham’s Centre for Women is a leading advocate for women, providing support services to women experiencing multiple and complex challenges.

They are proud to announce they will be holding a special art exhibition in honour of International Women’s day.

The exhibition, titled ‘Inspire Inclusion’ aims to showcase the resilience and talent of women artists from their centre and the local community, whilst raising vital funds, awareness and support for Anawim’s work.

The event will take place on Wednesday 6 March, 5-8pm at the Anawim centre, 228 Mary Street, Balsall Heath, Birmingham, B12 9RJ.

The exhibition will feature a diverse collection or creative works including painting, sculpture, photography, spoken word, poetry and song. Artists have been influenced by the International Women’s day theme of ‘Inspire Inclusion’ but have also created their own expressive works, sharing their stories.

Joy Doal, CEO at Anawim, said: “We believe in the power of art to inspire change and bring attention to important social issues.

"This International Women's Day, we are thrilled to amplify the voices of women artists and bring awareness to  Anawim’s mission to make a positive impact to the lives of women who need it."

Proceeds from art sales will be split between the artist and Anawim and all proceeds from donated works collected during the exhibition will go directly to Anawim.

The funds raised will support services and initiatives aimed at providing women with education, courses, counselling and resources to break the cycles of poverty,  abuse and poor mental health.

Anawim – Birmingham’s Centre for Women invites the community to join us in celebrating the achievements of  women and supporting a meaningful cause. The exhibition is open to the public, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet some of the featured artists and learn more about the impactful work of Anawim.
