The St Chad's Cathedral Association 15th annual dinner was held last month (Oct).

Dinner was followed by musical entertainment from Aimee Presswood (sung with the St Chad's Singers for many years) and Neus Peris.

The Principal Guest was The Most Rev Bernard Longley, Archbishop of Birmingham.

Anne Symonds, Vice-Chair of the Association, said: "This was our fifteenth annual dinner and the best to date. The food was excellent and appreciated by all.

"Our principal guest was Archbishop Bernard Longley who started the evening by mingling with our guests during the drinks reception.

"His Grace was absolutely thrilled by our musical entertainment given by Aimée Presswood (soprano) and her accompanist Neus Peris from Barcelona.

"His Grace remembered Aimée singing at the start of her career with the St Chad’s Cathedral Singers and was amazed by how much her voice has developed.

"Being a musician himself he was very aware of Aimée’s singing skills and wished her well in her future career.

"We are already setting a date for next year’s dinner. Do please keep an eye on our website and come and join us."
