The weather brightened for the 300 pilgrims who made their way to Walsingham on Saturday 11 May for the annual Diocesan pilgrimage.

However, as Bishop David McGough observed: "The brightest light shining is the faith that brings us here."

Led by Bishop David, pilgrims from across the diocese visited the Catholic shrine, heard Mass in the Reconciliation Chapel and, after a picnic lunch, processed through the town to the Priory grounds for Benediction.

Perhaps you will join us next year?
