Latest News Notice of Death - Fr Michael Crumpton Please pray for the repose of the soul of Fr Michael Crumpton who died in hospital on Monday 15 March 2021 aged 87. Fr Michael was ordained on 26 February 2000 and served at St Mary and St Modwen in Burton-upon-Trent from 2000 until his retirement in 2014. We pray for Fr Michael’s family and friends and all those who mourn him including the parishioners of St Mary and St Modwen. May he rest in peace. Reception of the Body and Mass at St Mary and St Modwen, Burton-upon-Trent, on Wednesday 7 April at 6pm. Bishop Stephen Wright presiding. The Funeral Mass will be at St Mary and St Modwen on Thursday 8 April at 2.30pm. Archbishop Bernard Longley presiding. Burial at Longton Cemetery. The Reception and Funeral Mass will be celebrated in accordance with the current lockdown guidelines. The number of people who can attend will be strictly limited. Both Masses will be live streamed.
