Diocesan/Parish Year of Prayer events and Jubilee Year events

Sacred Heart, Henley on Thames

The latest set of talks on prayer and spirituality are now underway.

This is the fifth set of talks in the Year of Prayer at the church and is different as it looks at prayer and spirituality through the prism of Psychology.

Five Tuesday evening sessions, starting Tuesday 4 June at 7.30pm in the church. The sessions are also live streamed and recorded so even more people can join.

Food for the journey: Making spiritual sense of our human lives

Led by Fr Michael Doyle

Themes of the talks (on 4,11, 18, 25 June and 2 July).

Covering and reflecting upon together:
· Introduction to the talks – a general introduction to the course – its aims and goals.
· Christ as our model of a well-lived, productive and fulfilled life.
· The prophet Jonah and the Old Testament figure of Jacob as examples of how to make sense of difficult and challenging times in our human lives.
· Finding spiritual meaning in the midst of seeming chaos.
