Invitation from CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Oversees Development)

Challenge yourself and take on The Big Lent Walk!

Walk when and where you choose over 40 days. Raise money to help people as they overcome poverty.

We are inviting everyone to participate in this initiative by walking 200k throughout Lent, either individually, with their parish or school.

Let's rally together and make this Lent a time of unity and change!

Your sponsorship can change lives. Every £1 raised through the Big Lent Walk will help fight poverty globally in countries like Afghanistan, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan.

This year CAFOD’s Lent Appeal is helping fishing communities feed their families in Liberia.

In 2023, 250,000 children and young people from 650 schools joined together in walking and raising money to fight poverty. Will your school join the Big Lent Walk this year?

The Big Lent Walk is a great way to inspire and engage your pupils around the season of Lent, put Catholic Social Teaching into action and remind ourselves that we are all members of a global family. Through the simple act of walking together, we can demonstrate that we are all connected and by joining forces and raising money we can make an enormous difference. It’s also a great excuse to get active in the fresh air and have some fun as a school!
