Several SVP Conference members in Halesowen are undertaking a 12-mile sponsored walk next month to raise funds for women in urgent need.

Fatima House is a partnership project that offers safe shelter to female asylum seekers who would otherwise be destitute and homeless.

The St Vincent de Paul Society offer befriending and support to the women staying there.

The Society also provides Fatima House guests with access to a small weekly allowance.

The sponsored walk by Our Lady and St Kenelm SVP Conference, Halesowen, is to raise funds for the weekly allowance to continue.

Conferences throughout the Birmingham Central Council area are encouraged to raise funds for the weekly allowances.
