On Thursday 2nd May, Pre-Prep and Prep pupils from Winterfold School, Chaddesley Corbett gathered in the School’s Secret Garden to crown the statue of Our Lady.  Traditionally, the month of May is set aside for praying the Rosary and special devotions to Mary, our Mother in Heaven.

Ela in Year 8 led the School in the Angelus prayer and Head of Music Mr Price played the accordion to the tune of Immaculate Mary, whilst the children and parents joined in heartily.  Sofia in Year 3 had the honour of crowning the statue with flowers and the School’s Chaplain Father Lamb ended the ceremony with a Marian prayer.

Mrs Howarth said: "This was a fine example of the Winterfold community coming together in honour of a religious occasion, with every child contributing reverently and enthusiastically".
