The Blessing of the Coventry Christmas Crib took place on the afternoon of Sunday 27 November 2022, the First Sunday of Advent.

The crib is situated in Broadgate in front of the temporary ice rink and festive food stands that recently opened.

There was a large crowd in attendance and the city centre was very busy with lots going on.

Canon Tom Farrell, Dean of Coventry & Nuneaton, said: “The Catholic community are proud to sponsor this crib, which we hope will remind all those visiting the shops this Christmas of the true meaning of Christmas and the birth of Christ. I am pleased that so many were able to join us.”

He thanked all those who had helped in setting up the crib and the preparation of the Blessing.
