Triple Anniversary Mass at the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady, Bicester

Despite the inclement weather the church was full for the wonderful occasion on Thursday 23 March for three celebrations in one:

• 80th Anniversary of establishment of the Parish
• 70th Anniversary of the Guild of St Stephen
• 60th Anniversary of the Church of the Immaculate Conception

The Mass was concelebrated with Archbishop Bernard Longley, Bishop David Evans, Bishop William Kenney and many clergy connected with the parish.

All those attending were given a copy of the parish history from 1869 to the present day.

Following the Mass there was refreshments in the St John Paul Parish centre prepared by the parishioners, at which point the rain had almost stopped!

Canon John Batthula, parish priest, wishes to express his gratitude to everyone who attended and to those who helped and took part in the Jubilee Celebrations.
