The ladies of Kidderminster UCM (Union of Catholic Mothers) led by Deacon Charles Duncombe recently took part in a candlelight rosary at St Ambrose's Catholic Church rectory garden.

Around 20 people, including other parishioners and Fr Douglas Lamb, also attended the event in Kidderminster, held on Monday 23 October.

The candlelight rosary was to mark the month of the rosary coming to an end, October being the month we dedicate to Our Lady. It happily coincided with a recent refurbishment of the rectory garden - the wilderness was tamed and the small grotto was restored.

The grotto features the figures of Our Lady of Lourdes and Saint Bernadette and has been repainted by Amanda Baylie, a parishioner and a teaching assistant at St Ambrose Catholic Primary School.
