Auxiliary Bishop of Birmingham

The Holy Father Pope Francis appointed Monsignor Timothy Menezes, Dean of St Chad's Cathedral, as a new Auxiliary Bishop to serve the Archdiocese of Birmingham. Bishop Timothy was ordained on Tuesday 16 July 2024.

-Affirm & strengthen Catholic life in the Pastoral Area
-Represent the Archbishop locally
-Facilitate initiatives to strengthen and encourage the life of deaneries and parishes
-Carry out formal visitations to parishes
-Celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation
