On Saturday 28 October climate action in the Archdiocese came under the spotlight at the annual assembly of the Justice & Peace Commission.

Participants gathered in the Grimshaw Room, St Chad's Cathedral site, for a day-long discussion on responding to the climate crises in our homes, parishes and communities.

The guest speakers were Fr Robert Taylerson, Spiritual Director at St Mary's College, Oscott:

Laudato Si #49 calls us to "...hear both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor" and in my talk I discussed what such a mandate might imply for agriculture and food production, both nationally and internationally.

And Tom Piotrowski, Diocesan Trustee, was the second guest speaker. His presentation was entitled 'Integral ecology: practical implications for our churches'.

Both presentations, along with photographs from the day, are available on the Justice & Peace website
