You’re all invited to a very special event next month – a Diocesan Celebration Day.

Organised to mark key diocese events, plus the canonisations taking place that day, the event will take place on Sunday 14 October at Cardinal Wiseman School in Coventry.

Those who have travelled to Dublin for the World Meeting of Families, and will be heading to Liverpool for Adoremus in September, are being invited to share their experiences.

And the event is also set to attract our young adults who will be travelling to Rome for the Youth Synod, and to Panama for World Youth Day.

A highlight of the event will be the life-size World Meeting of Families icon on display, which will be loaned to the Diocese.

The event will run from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 14 October and is set to include live streaming of the canonisations in Rome.

His Grace, Archbishop Bernard Longley, will say Mass at 11am.

Although the programme has yet to be finalised it is hoped parishes will now save the date, book spaces and start to organise group trips.

This is a wonderful opportunity for people from across the diocese to come and worship together and celebrate such a momentous year.

Attendees will also have the chance to find out more about the work of Cafod, Birmingham Justice and Peace, and many more groups.

Further details of the day will be released in due course.

In the mean time you can book your free place here.
