“It is catechesis that produces, by the work of the Holy Spirit, the personal encounter with Jesus, who changes our life.” - Pope Francis

Pope Francis describes renewal as 'a stream of grace for the whole church' and is encouraging us to seek Baptism in the Holy Spirit. For many years people in renewal have come to this refreshment of their baptismal and conformational graces through the Life in the Spirit seminars.

Life in the Spirit very often brings the blessings of:
• a personal refreshment of faith
• an improved prayer life where we can hear more clearly from God
• a renewed relationship with the Word of God
• a better understanding of how we are all gifted in various ways to serve one another
• a more lively journey of faith and a deeper understanding of God’s purpose for our lives.

The seminars will consist of:
• praise and worship
• real life stories from people who have experienced baptism in the Holy Spirit
• teaching from clergy and lay people of the diocese
• guided scripture based prayer throughout the course
• small group seminars where we can share each other's journey.

It is best to experience the seminars live so that you benefit from the small group experience which is essential to finding the greatest blessing from the series. The small groups will be arranged geographically so that we can continue to support one another when the seminars come to an end.

We would encourage everyone to obtain a copy of Finding New Life in the Spirit: a guidebook for the Life in the Holy Spirit seminars. This booklet contains reading for each week. It can be obtained for £3 and is available from Good News Books
