Our pilgrimage to the World Meeting of Families concluded today with the Papal Mass.

Hundreds of thousands of people gathered together in Phoenix Park to celebrate Mass with the Holy Father, including several of our clergy who concelebrated on this memorable occasion.

We have been part of history and it is evident from the families that have taken part that they have grown and developed their faith on this six-day journey, alongside forming new, meaningful friendships.

There have been many memorable moments - including the Martin girls and Joseph Pap shaking hands with, and high-fiving, the Holy Father! How many people will ever get that chance?!

And it was wonderful that the many prayer intentions gathered from across our diocese in the special WMoF prayer boxes, in the run-up to the event, were presented ahead of the Mass.

From the three-day Pastoral Congress to the Festival of Families and Papal Mass, this truly has been a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many of our families.
