Tune into Unity FM this afternoon (Wed 7 Aug) to find out all about the Birinus Communitas Wellbeing Project and how it’s benefiting local people.

Tippa Naphtali, Project Co-ordinator, has been invited onto the airwaves to talk about his work in mental health and wellbeing projects.

A guest on What Shape Are You In? from 4pm, Tippa will be joining presenter Beresford Dawkins.

The Communitas Wellbeing Project is a partnership between Catholic and Muslim communities to tackle social isolation and health issues among the over 55s.

It is funded by Birmingham City Council and overseen by the Birinus Catholic charity.

Based at St Anne’s in Digbeth, the Project aims to improve the wellbeing of those groups that are not being addressed by the wider community.

As the Project Co-ordinator, recently-appointed Tippa will be responsible for its continued delivery.

His appointment is part of a Big Lottery (Reaching Communities Programme) grant of more than £400,000 to deliver this vital care to elderly people.

And you can get involved too by joining a community fun day event on Saturday 24 August (further details to be announced).
