Understanding our faith-based charities

Pope Francis in his letter to popular movements describes his hope that this time of crisis will free us from "operating on automatic pilot".

In his article for an Italian news site Fr Ryan Service wonders in what ways our society might think differently about our faith-based charities, which are a vital lifeline for many people especially at this time.

After all, in our social outreach projects we don't just act, we are also called to reflect on our actions.
