From 1 – 8 December Father Hudson’s Care will be taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge aiming to raise £17,000 to support the work of Tabor House, our community project managed in partnership with i-Shelter, providing a lifeline of support to those affected by homelessness.

All donations that we receive between these dates will be doubled at no extra cost to you.

One donation, twice the impact

The Big Give runs the UK’s biggest match funding campaign, the Christmas Challenge.

For seven days, it offers supporters of participating charities the opportunity to have their donation doubled. Since it launched in 2008, the Christmas Challenge has raised millions of pounds for thousands of charity projects.

We will be raising money for Tabor House, who despite the pandemic, has remained open and committed to helping those affected by homelessness.

In response to the pandemic Tabor has had to convert their open-plan living space to a number of Perspex pods, to help eliminate any risk of infection spread and maintain social distancing guidelines. Lockdown has also meant that Tabor has transformed from a night shelter to a 24/7 supported accommodation project.

The funding from the Big Christmas Give will help the charity continue to work in these unprecedented times and will also support the development of a second building, which will allow them to work with more guests increasing current capacity from 8 to 11.

How to get involved

Between midday on 1 December and midday on 8 December please donate via our Big Give Challenge page

All donations during this time will be doubled thanks to match funding.
