Invite from the Kenelm Youth Trust

Be part of next year’s Mission Team – spaces still available!

Are your current university/job plans on hold? Then seize this great opportunity and have a gap year!

The Kenelm Youth Trust (KYT) is looking for young adults aged 18-25 who are down-to-earth, ready to grow in their faith and who are enthusiastic about working with young people.

A gap year with Kenelm comes with accommodation in Alton, in the Staffordshire Moorlands, where our volunteers live in community with other young Christians, so we are seeking out those who work well in a team.

Our Mission Team get superb work experience running programmes at our retreat centres and helping lead various events around the Archdiocese in our schools and parishes.

Full training is given and our volunteers have opportunities to develop really varied skills, to become leaders in outdoor educational activities (obtaining nationally recognised qualifications), to network with others in youth ministry, and to volunteer abroad - for example travelling with Kenelm to Lourdes for pilgrimage and elsewhere.

Alongside their service in our retreat centres, some volunteers also take the opportunity to engage in study, and we are a recognised and sought-after placement for the Foundation Degree in Youth Ministry and Chaplaincy.

All in all, it’s an experience not to be missed! Seize this opportunity to grow in life skills, independence and confidence and spend a year like no other.
