The Basilican - the magazine of the St Chad's Cathedral Association

The Autumn bumper edition is now available to buy.

The magazine is packed full of interesting articles, including an opening introduction by Archbishop Bernard Longley and others by Mgr Timothy Menezes, Cathedral Dean, and Professor David Saint, Organist and Director of Music.

In this edition we're delighted to feature articles by a number of young people and adults who are interested in St Chad’s Cathedral and its rich history.

David McLoughlin, Emeritus Professor at Newman University, and Fleur Dorrell, from the Bible Society, have written beautifully illustrated articles relating to the annual flower festival - which sadly could not go ahead this year but will take place in June 2021. It will keep the theme of the God Who Speaks as the national Scripture initiative continues into next year.
