Notice of Death - Fr Timothy Burke

Please pray for the Repose of the Soul of Fr Timothy Burke who died on Sunday 5 April aged 96.

Fr Timothy was ordained on 11 July 1948 and served at:

Bromsgrove 1948-1949
Meir 1949-1955
Bilston 1955-1956
Sacred Heart, Coventry 1956-1961
Old Hill 1961-1968
Holy Cross, West Bromwich 1968 – 2017

Fr Timothy was also Chaplain to the Diocesan Union of Catholic Mothers.

Since his retirement Fr Timothy has been resident at Robert Harvey House at Handsworth Wood and we thank them and many others for the care of Fr Timothy in recent years.

We pray for Fr Timothy’s family and friends and for all who mourn, including the parishioners at Holy Cross, West Bromwich, where he served as Parish Priest for 49 years.

Funeral services in compliance with the present guidelines are still to be arranged.

Priests are invited to offer Mass for Fr Timothy. We commend Fr Timothy to the Lord; may he rest in peace.
