Notice of Death - Canon Peter Taylor

Please pray for the Repose of the Soul of Canon Peter Taylor who died on Friday 6 March, aged 92.

He was the Parish Priest of St Mary's the Mount, Walsall, from 1971 - 2012, a remarkable 41 years.

From 1979 - 1982 he served as a Honorary Canon and then from 1982 - 2002 as a Canon of the Chapter; becoming a Canon Emeritus in 2002.

He also served as Episcopal Vicar for Religious working alongside the many male and female Religious in the Archdiocese.

Before serving in Walsall, after being ordained a Priest in 1952, he served at Bilston, Perry Common, Dorridge and Kingshurst.

He retired in 2012, living, most recently, at St Joseph’s Home, Coleshill.

He was a faithful and dedicated Priest of this Archdiocese. We commend him to the Lord. May he Rest in Peace.
