Latest News Lockdown Conversations Lockdown Conversations Birmingham Museums Trust would like to invite you to take part in a ‘Lockdown Conversations’ programme in August, as part of the Trust’s ‘Life on Lockdown’ project, capturing the experiences of people living and working in Birmingham during the pandemic. Life on Lockdown - Collecting the Birmingham story We are looking to recruit people to take part in recorded conversations via Zoom, around two key topics that have come out as key stories of the pandemic: foodbanks, and faith during lockdown. Firstly, we would love to hear from people who have worked or volunteered by preparing hot food for vulnerable people or in foodbanks, or those who’ve used foodbanks or received cooked meals; and secondly, we want to hear from people of faith about how their experience of faith has sustained or challenged them during lockdown, and how they have engaged with worship at a time when connecting in person wasn’t possible. People who fit both groups and would like to take part in both discussions are very welcome! We will be holding two conversations on each topic via Zoom: Foodbanks and Preparing Hot MealsMonday 10 August, 7.30 – 8.30pmTuesday 11 August, 10.30 – 11.30am Faith and worshipWednesday 12 August, 7.30 – 8.30pmThursday 13 August, 2.30 – 3.30pm Spaces will be limited to ensure that everyone has a chance to share their experiences. The sessions will be recorded and added to the Life on Lockdown project collection, with extracts used online and in the Museum in the future.
