Induction of Fr Julius as parish priest at St Anthony's

On 8 March Fr Julius Simomia Ngungwo was inducted as parish priest at St Anthony of Padua parish Wolverhampton.  Fr Julius who is from Cameroon has been in the UK for four years and we are pleased to welcome him as our parish priest following the retirement of Fr Brendan Carrick who was our priest for 13 years.

The induction ceremony and principal celebrant of the Mass was Mgr Mark Crisp,  Dean of Wolverhampton. Fr Dawid Piskorz, parish priest of St Patrick's Wolverhampton took part in the mass.

The letter of appointment was read by Jo O Meara, the keys of the church presented by Martyn Davies, the Bible was presented by Anne Morgan and the key to the tabernacle was presented by Deiudonne Ngule.

Music was led by the parish choir and music group.

representatives of the local Churches together joined us for the occasion and St Anthony's Primary staff and pupils presented a card of welcome with much enthusiasm!
