A brand new kitchen is now in full use at Coventry-based Most Holy Sacrament and St Osburg church thanks to generous cash awards.

The old kitchen has been removed, and a wall knocked down, to make way for a new double-sized kitchen.

A serving hatch has also been installed between the kitchen and the main hall to assist with serving food, along with the installation of new surfaces and kitchen units.

The revamp was made possible thanks to a £10,000 award from England - National Lottery Awards for All and £8,920 from the Archdiocese.

Fr Pontius Bandua said: “The new kitchen is a wonderful asset to our facilities.

“It will provide better kitchen services to the church community, for those who hire the hall for occasions and now also helps the school community.

“The annual Winter Night Shelter group will also be served well with improved facilities.”
