A wonderful celebration was held in St Wilfrid's parish, Castle Bromwich, to mark the 50th anniversary of Sr Margaret Walsh's profession of vows.

Sr Margaret has been active in the Archdiocese of Birmingham for decades and among other things, established the Hope Community Project in Wolverhampton, Brushstrokes in Smethwick and St Chad's Sanctuary in central Birmingham.

She has reached out to and helped literally hundreds of people in need.

To celebrate her recent Golden Jubilee as an Infant Jesus sister, we enjoyed a beautiful mass followed by a party filled with good food and good craic!

Hundreds of friends, colleagues, sisters, family, parishioners and well-wishers gathered to thank this indomitable woman.

We had a wonderful night and Sr Margaret was touched by the lengths people went to celebrate with her. Here's to the next 50 years of service!
