A full church was delighted to welcome Archbishop Bernard Longley on an historic occasion earlier this month.

Everyone at the church was touched by the Archbishop’s friendship – he spoke to everyone individually even before the service commenced.

His warm inspirational address was very accessible to all, and he was delighted to be with us. He wrote to thank us for what he described as a wonderful opportunity to share in the weekend service.

Young people from Carter’s Lane Baptist helped lead the worship.

The harvest gifts will be shared with St Basil's and the domestic violence project based in Druids Heath, and £153 was raised for the Bakery Project in Tanzania supported by St Francis church members.
