We are looking for a self-starter who also enjoys working collaboratively. You will be keen to take on new challenges as these arise and develop your own knowledge and skills. This is a dynamic role that will see the post-holder working across the university on a range of governance and policy activity, including with University Council Chair and members, the Vice-Chancellor and senior executive team, as well as academic and professional services staff members.

Main essential criteria:

The successful candidate will possess leadership and management potential and the personal aptitude and resilience to succeed in HE as well as a governance or company secretarial qualification, or willingness to work towards this.  They will be highly self-motivated, have a ‘can do’ attitude, and be flexible and resourceful.  They will possess excellent administrative and organisation abilities, with a strong capacity to learn and grow their skills further. They will be an excellent communicator and a strategic thinker. Digital working skills are essential for this role, particularly in the current environment and as we work towards further digitising and making more efficient the work of the office.
