Dear priests, deacons, parishes- please find below a letter regarding the Harvington pilgrimage on 1 September 2019 along with the poster for your parishes.

Dear Father

The Annual Harvington Pilgrimage will take place on Sunday 1 September 2019.

We very much hope that you will support this act of devotion to the Martyrs of the Midlands by mentioning it in your news bulletin and displaying the attached poster so parishioners from your parish may enjoy the pleasure and blessings of a pilgrimage by joining us.

Priests are most welcome to concelebrate, deacons are also invited to be present and should be vested in cotta and stole. Please bring albs, red stoles will be provided. Vesting will take place in the Georgian Chapel, in the ground of Harvington Hall. After Mass refreshments will be served to all of our visitors in the garden of The Priest’s House.

Free timed tours of Harvington Hall are available to all pilgrims on the day and can be booked at the table in the Hall’s courtyard when you arrive. Tours for parish groups (maximum 20) will take place at the following times – 12.30 pm 1.00 pm, 1.30 pm, 4.15 pm and 4.30 pm.

To assist our stewards with parking it is essential we know if you intend to bring a coach. Coaches must approach the Hall from the A450 Worcester Road and the driver unload his passengers at the Hall and park where directed by the stewards.   Please e-mail [email protected] by Monday 28 August at the latest so that a parking place can be reserved for your coach.

Please note that pilgrims MUST BRING THEIR OWN CHAIRS as we are unable to provide them from here.

Yours sincerely

Monsignor Canon J Moran

Parish Priest
