This one-day Symposium is an opportunity to listen to presentations from theologians on the role of authority in the Church, especially in light of developments in synodality and becoming a listening Church. A particular focus will be the relationship between the Papacy and Revelation in the context of a post-modern culture.

11.30 - 12.15: Rev Timothy Radcliffe OP (Oxford)- Authority in the Synodal Church

12.30 - 1.15pm: Mass in Main chapel

13.15 - 14.30: Lunch break (14.00-14.30: Coffee available - outside Aula Spencer)

14.30 - 15.15: Mr John Stayne (Durham)- Integrating the Papacy: Papal Infallibility and a Synodal Church.

15.15 - 15.45- Coffee Break

15.45 - 16.30 Dr Mary McCaughey (Oscott)- Joseph Ratzinger on Authority, Truth and Synodality.

16.30 - 17.00: Panel Discussion- all speakers

17.15 -18.00: Adoration and evening prayer.

Please note that the ticket includes access to all lectures, refreshments (breakfast for early arrivals after early Mass, three coffee breaks and a sit-down two course lunch).
