The St Vincent de Paul Society from Our Lady Of Mount Carmel, Redditch, organised a Christmas party for the 6th year running for homeless people in Birmingham.
More than 260 men and women joined Bishop Robert Byrne and the SVP for Christmas dinner and carols at St Philip’s Cathedral on Saturday 16 December. Everyone who attended received a Christmas present and were given a warm welcome at the party.
The food preparation for guests took place in the kitchen of Holy Trinity RC School in Small Heath, and the cost of the event was funded by donations from many Catholic schools and parishes in south Birmingham.
