Join Mary’s Meals in prayer during May

Mary’s Meals is now providing life-changing school meals to more than 2.4 million of the world’s poorest children.

Our work is built on the power of prayer, and as a result we continually see God's love and provision in incredible ways.

Over the past 12 months across the Archdiocese of Birmingham around 10 local churches have fundraised for Mary’s Meals, raising approximately £7,500.

There have also been about five schools fundraising for us, raising approximately £1,200. Alongside this there are many people from Birmingham parishes who have given individually over the past year.

"During the month of May, dedicated to Our Lady, we invite you to join us in praying for the hungry children who rely on our life-changing school meals, and for all the children and families around the world who live in poverty," said Hannah Moore, Mary's Meals Supporter Engagement Officer (West Midlands & North Wales).

During the month of May, you can support Mary's Meals by:

•    Using our prayer resources at church, school or home.
•    Holding a time of prayer and reflection.
•    Inviting one of our wonderful volunteers to share the Mary’s Meals story.
•    Encouraging children and your local schools to pray for our mission.
•    Join us in praying for those in Tigray, Ethiopia, who are right now experiencing a severe hunger crisis, with 4.5 million people in need of emergency food aid.
