Halesowen Welcomes Bishop David for Visitation

It was a great joy for the parish of Our Lady and St Kenelm, Halesowen to welcome Bishop David McGough for his visitation over the weekend of 11/12 February. He presided at both weekend Masses and met with representatives of the number of groups who seek to reach out to the poor and marginalised at home and overseas. He was especially interested in the work of the Kerala Partnership; of the Halesowen Welcome Group (which seeks to support and befriend migrants and refugees); the newly re-formed SVP Conference and other groups in the parish and beyond.

At the Saturday evening Mass, the Team Rector and the Vicar of St John’s, Halesowen came and sat in the choir.

The picture shows the Bishop and Father Bruce with our servers on the Sunday morning.
